| 733091 | 2008-12-28 20:16:00 | Acer travel mate lappy: XP Pro 256mb ram disgusting I know, but wife bought the pc cheap. 900 mhz She wants to use the internet a bit more!!!! but I tell her it will be bl**dy slow. That downloading icon on the taskbar is always on, shows 30% downloading. How can you tell what's downloading, have tried to lookup Zone Alarm window for details. Thanks for any help. Lurking. Ps.will go away now and let it finish downloading whatever it is. lurks. |

| 733092 | 2008-12-28 20:29:00 | Could be the windows updates - often I see it get stuck at a certain %, the way around that is go to windows updates manually, and install, sooner or later it will stop. You may want to turn off auto updates first, go into the control panel / Automatic Updates / turn off. reboot the laptop, then run windows updates manually - see what it finds. | wainuitech (129) | ||
