732992 2008-12-28 02:38:00 Hi

I am trying to fix a PC .In a normal PC once you click shutdown from the start menu the computer would switch off by itself.
Windows xp would say shutting down after which the computer powers off.

Now the problem is the computer doesn't power off.You see the message "Windows Xp Shutting down:.The monitor is becomes black but the power of the pc is still on..The only solution is to push the power button of the pc
When you restart .The same thing happens. The computer leaves windows Xp and then just stays running and the screen becomes black. It doesn't restart or anything.

Any ideas?
