| 732502 | 2008-12-25 23:52:00 | Hi bought son a new laptop Acer 5920g for christmas loaded up music etc Ok but now the computer has gone "funny". The things that happen include up. Very slow to start up. (It has a T7500 dual processor and 3 gigs of ram plus Vista so shoul not take nearly a minute to log on a user) "failed to connect to Windows Service" error message and some thing about System event notificaoitn service service" Acer enet Tray has stopped working I can't get firewall or Malware protection to start up. I installed avast but it would not start so I tried uninstalling it. It wouldn't uninstal and now I can only delete about half the files. Here is the hijack log. Any ideas??? I see that Avast is in the hijack log. I thought I had removed it but obvously not enough.
