530091 2007-03-07 08:54:00 But there is no way a maxima does 10 litres/ 100 km . The maxima has a big 3 litre engine, compared to a much smalled 2 litre engine for the mazda. I have a friend who switched from a maxima to a mazda 6, and they say that they are saving heaps on fuel. You figure for the mazda is correct , but your maxima figure is way off. You may be getting more fuel efficiency, but you may not be driving over 50km/h

I dont think thats incorrect at all, my supercharged 3.8 did 10.6L per 100km on a recent trip to Welly and back using the cruise control.

in Taranaki a couple of weeks ago. It was great:thumbs: :D :D .
Some Americans (check this out Surfer Joe) that were there, even said that similar things held in the US, in their experience, have not been as good as this one.

530093 2007-03-07 21:08:00 Oh come on Billy, it's TV! Would Top Gear be half as popular without Jeremy doing his schtick? His arrogance played off against both audience and Hamster and Capt Slow is the central plank of the entertainment factor. Without it it would just be another car show. I beg to differ Comrade Commissar, the co-presenters are paid to take it, but the audience don't always like it that much, especially when he goes overboard when attacking one of their own. Watch their eyes, or his victims' expressions, and remember, these were just the barbs that were rated suitable for transmission. Good humour does not require a gladiatorial approach and sometimes JC oversteps the mark.

Cheers

530094 2007-03-07 21:30:00 Ah come on. If you go to be an audience member on Top Gear you expect that. It's like going to a stand up comedy routine. If you don't wanat to get picked on, you don't sit in the front row.

I suspect if you were put in charge of that show Billy you'd kill its ratings overnight

530096 2007-03-08 07:01:00 The program wouldn't be worth filming nevermind watching if they focused on the average car and got rid of Clarksons charm. Metla (12)

530099 2007-03-28 10:23:00 I had a Borgward Arabella back in the 70's. Mine had been fitted with a VW 1200 engine. Fantastic acelleration but over reved past 60mph. Had the old girl for 10 years. It was the size of an Angela and two door also. Hard to get parts for it and eventually got rid of it as the kids got to many and big for it. Denish (11955)
