530858 2007-08-12 02:13:00 Aren't they ****ty low-quality, low-resolution files anyway? Who wants that?Yes, the quality isn't great, not even widescreen, so you wouldn't want to buy a whole season when you could get it on DVD. However, if you forget to tape a program (as I am very prone to doing), it would be handy to be able to download it via iTunes as the quality it is no worse than an analogue broadcast (obviously it won't be as good as Freeview quality). maccrazy (6741)

Apple uses the latest h.264 codec which it pretty much created for online HD video. I have a feeling that they will improve the quality over time since the current limitations of our BB internet with data caps would make downloading files over 1Gig in size somewhat prohibitive.

530861 2007-08-12 02:35:00 Can you convert them to DVD and play on your TV like you can convert audio files to CD audio and play on your CD player??

You don't need to you just stream them via Apple TV but you can burn them if you want to. I am not sure what the arrangement surrounding the DRM on videos is though.

They do when they are paid for downloads as counted by the CFO of Apple.

530865 2007-08-12 02:55:00 Go to the US iTunes store/movie section. No you can't purchase them in NZ due to legal retrictions. winmacguy (3367)
