The condition of sale was pickup, which it was. They were to meet and he was to pick it up. Shipping was not an option because, as it explicitly said, they were to meet, hence "pickup".

The buyer escalated the situation. A neutral feedback was only fair because he wasted the time of the seller by not bothering to read the auction. This is not in any way the fault of the seller. My friend thought negative feedback (which is what was probably deserved for such negligence) was too harsh, so gave neutral - only to receive negative for *his* mistake.

It is unfair to give a *negative* feedback on the person you made the mistake to.

530351 2007-03-05 23:05:00 When I'm really really bored, I read the negative feedback on Trademe; in fact I'm thinking of suggesting to Trademe to create a quick link to each bad feedback on a page, so you get past all the boring "fantastic trader", "great trade" stuff. dolby digital (5073)

Actually I was thinking the exact thing, TradeMe should provide a link when you click on the Blue or Red face icon which directly takes you to all the appropriate feedbacks.

530353 2007-03-05 23:51:00 I have made several sales and a few buys on Trade Me and strange to say I am 100% satisfied with every single one. JJJJJ (528)
530354 2007-03-06 03:19:00 I agree with Metla, your friend has overreacted, yeah they got ****ed around. Its a online auction for crying out loud, just relist the item and move one. Pete O'Neil (6584)
