i must admit some parts i bought that came from a supllier i buy directly from where in fact cheaper than what the supplier sells it for :)

529791 2007-03-04 09:26:00 If one says that Ascent can absolutely do no wrong and is 100% perfect, that would just be ignorant and fanboyish of them.

I've only heard of two complaints about Ascent though.

Obviously, noone is perfect. But Ascent is no far off. I would give them a very good - excellent rating.
This is based on one error they made with an order there their suppliers sent me an incorrect coloured item, but they quickly switched it over without me having to return the item first, which was a huge time saving.

529792 2007-03-04 10:37:00 They're good - I buy most things off them except when there is a huge price difference somewhere else. Ascent tend to keep you informed of any delays before it gets to the courier.

Post Couriers however are a nightmare and are about as useless as they come. They pretend they've tried to deliver stuff when they haven't - and then you have to ring their head office to get them to deliver something the same day under protest.

Thats not to say they've never stuffed up - no-one is perfect.

Its also not to say there aren't other little shops around with excellent service also.

I once bought a PSU of them which blew up when i plugged it in, but that was more fault of the manufractor, there replacement service was execellent!, i got the new PSU the next day, and they organised all the courier stuff for the shipment of the old one back .

529795 2007-03-05 01:38:00 If nothing went wrong suppliers would only need to be rated on stock availability and price. It is when things go awry with a product that the good suppliers show why they deserve support.

Those who state "You must have broken it. These never go wrong. You will have to send it back to the manufacturer, we can do nothing to help you here." should be dealt with appropriately. Even if it ruins the pineapple.

Well from the poll results it appears that Ascent are not perfect but do a very good job with their customer service, as I expected .

No one has mentioned having problems with warranties or sending failed goods back but whether this is because goods haven't failed or whether they just didn't have any problems getting replacements isn't clear .

I would be interested to know what problems you and Rob had, if you would care to share?

I've returned a few faulty products to ascent . Never had a problem in that area . My problem was when I ordered something that was marked "higher price, but in stock now" & it ended up being on backorder with no new stock due in for a month & a half . In the meantime, the cheaper supplier had it back in stock . It took them weeks to cancel my old order & ship one from the other supplier after I complained .

All that happened at christmas, so that is understandable . Every other time I have dealt with them, I have been happy with their service
