733156 2008-12-28 21:32:00 Whats the brand/model of the mobo??

You could try the fix here (support.microsoft.com)

Even tho it doesnt say it crashes, when you resume, but its the same stop error

EVGA 680i Mobo.

Isn't that "fix" just installing Service Pack 1?

733158 2008-12-28 21:53:00 No its not SP1, its a separate download.

The link is up the top, you have to request it they email it with a password.

You extract it, then install it

Are you overclocking?

Could be a BIOS prob

It says that the update does not apply to my system .

733160 2008-12-28 22:46:00 I would test your memory with memtest Speedy Gonzales (78)

Okay, I went to memtest.org and I have absolutely no idea how to set this up or use it. Would I put it on a floppy to use during boot up?
Jmachol (14405)
733162 2008-12-28 23:12:00 Depending on which one you downloaded, it'll have to be bootable (for USB key or floppy) .

Or if you have a burner, get the ISO burn it go into the BIOS, change it to the cd . Boot from it

733163 2008-12-29 17:34:00 Vista box at work was blue screening daily. Updating all the drivers and firmware resolved it.

"ultimate boot cd" has memtest and heaps of other tools on it. Free download.

Has it always done this, or is it new behaviour?
