530338 2007-03-05 06:51:00 Hi

I am writing this on behalf of a friend who was given very unfair feedback on TradeMe.

As a policy, TradeMe does not have any part in feedback disputes, but in this case it is a gross injustice.

www.trademe.co.nz

Look at the "tuiladdie" feedback.

He even admits he did not read the auction terms.

As well as posting negative feedback, he sent an abusive email to my friend.

She has sent a message to TradeMe but had no response.

What is she to do?

Thanks!

530339 2007-03-05 07:02:00 She does just what she has already done.
ANyone can read the feedback comments and see who was in the wrong.

This is why TM feedback doesn't work as well as its supposed to.
I see your friend gave Blue and received Red back. Typical spiteful response.

Its happened to me too. Who cares, the worlds full of **********s.
We move on.

530340 2007-03-05 07:03:00 Looking at the original auction, Your freind is in the wrong. I suggest she apologises, takes the offered payment of success fees (too late now...ha) and makes sure she is clear about her conditions of sale in the future.

aside from that, Trademe feedback is a storm in a teacup, Get over it.

530341 2007-03-05 07:41:00 Metla, it was stated that it needed to be done in Wellington. How is that not clear?

Everything was explicitly laid out. Tuiladdie did not read the auction terms and furthermore, admitted the fact. Hence he is in the wrong, not my friend.

Imagine you bought a house and then was like "Oh, it's in Auckland, I live in Wellington". The seller would be "It was in the terms", so you give negative feedback, pleading that (you didn't read the auction terms) it was not made clear. Is that fair?

530342 2007-03-05 08:08:00 Location: Wellington City, Wellington Pick-ups: Seller allows pick-ups. Shipping: To be arranged
Doesn't say pick up only, doesn't even get close to the drawn out explanation in the body of the auction that the buyer obviously never got to, And he did attempt to make amends by paying the sellers success fees.

People should state "pick up only" in the correct place if thats the condition of the sale.

Of course thats just my opinion, and I did get stung for several hundred dollars over a rolly git who "allowed pick-ups" and then refused to help with the shipping, Come and get it he says, Its in the far north.....Lmfao.

530343 2007-03-05 08:17:00 Er.

In the auction:

We both have to go to a Telecom store in Wellington somewhere, with some I.D.

So what exactly is your point? In his feedback:

No where in this auction did it say YOU HAVE TO BE IN WELLINGTON

The auction said they had to meet in Wellington, hence having "to be in Wellington".

And he did attempt to make amends by paying the sellers success fees.

So what? He wasted time and it wholly deserved the blue face. And it doesn't matter anyway, because TradeMe gives back the success fee when you request it.

530344 2007-03-05 08:23:00 It is not worth the hassle..forget about it and move on...Life is far to short to worry about stupid things like that. Yes people will F you off in life even when you are 90.

Go to your happy place.

(send this to your friend)

530345 2007-03-05 08:25:00 Hi wmoore.

Thanks, will do :)

Just as pctek said, anyone can read the feedback.

530346 2007-03-05 08:48:00 As I said, The condition of sale is not listed in the nominated place, In fact something quite different is listed there,The very place that everyone reads to check for conditions of delivery.

Both parties in this equation suffer from the condition of being human, One party acknowledged fault and tried to make amends by apology and payment, The other rejected this and escalated the situation.

Not that I care either way, Their feedback and spat is all quite meaningless.:D

530347 2007-03-05 09:08:00 I wouldn't worry about 1 neg feedback. Many of the ppl I trade with have had the odd one.
Good traders will read the feedback posted and make their own judgment. I see no reason why they should think negatively of you. It looked like a simple misunderstanding. He/She obviously read the description too quickly, saw "Shipping: To be arranged" and went ahead. Simple mistake. It's easy to overlook fine details when reading on-screen.
At least people are prepared to express dissatisfaction on TM. Unlike Ebay where everyone just gives "AAA+++ trader" (even if they were really shoddy) simply because they are afraid of a revenge -ve feedback in return.
