| 733242 | 2008-12-28 23:51:00 | My daughter has clicked where she shouldnt - on a bebo link. :groan: I cant use her comp to do this, I have to go from one comp to the other cos this trojan appears to be stopping some tasks. I cant get emails down on it but I can connect to the net. Ive downloaded AVG and run it, ADAWARE, Ive done a HJT and pulled out what shows as horrific, Ive run advanced system care - Crap cleaner - A balloon keeps coming up from the system tray - attached to a yellow ! It says - the latop has networm-i.Virus@fp Ive hunted for info about it - also downloaded smithfraud fix .. but on running it it states access is denied ... What else can I do to remove thise please? ;) |

| 733243 | 2008-12-28 23:56:00 | another bubble states the comp has PSW.xVirtrojan - then says clcik this baloon to remove - (note spelling of balloon) Its that that alerts me NOT TO download through that balloon. Something is taking me to a 'warntoprotect' security page - also a lil warning saying spybot@mxt malware. I click these away. |

| 733245 | 2008-12-29 00:09:00 | Please download and run Malwarebytes as follows. Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from one of these places: Majorgeeks.com www.majorgeeks.com besttechie.net www.besttechie.net Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application. Make sure a check-mark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.(The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.) When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note) The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with the HijackThis log. Please Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. |
