2008-12-28 21:43:00 | Wanting a good comfortable, preferably wireless, and not to pricey, mouse. Any ideas? | davidmmac (4619) | |
2008-12-28 22:21:00 | Not being smart or anything - but it pays to go into a shop, and "have a feel" - what may be comfortable to one person is not to someone else. Usually the "cheap" ones have a basic shape, where as the slightly more expensive are more errrrrr "fitted" to your hand. Generally speaking the Logitech and Microsoft range are not to bad. Edited: have a read through This thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) - few more suggestions as well.

2008-12-28 22:43:00 | Thanks for the info wainuitech and jwil1, I'll go into town later on and see what I can find. That thread was slightly dated, so has wireless technology in mouses improved since then, or is it better to stay on cords? | davidmmac (4619) | |
2008-12-28 23:39:00 | Oh, the range and reliability have improved, not sure about speed and accuracy though the new Logitech mouse that costs $150+ or so is pretty good :P Microsoft make pretty good wireless mice, they're batteries have lasted me almost 1.5 years now so no hassles there.

That thread was slightly dated, so has wireless technology in mouses improved since then, or is it better to stay on cords? Unless you're doing some hefty gaming, you won't notice the difference between wired and wireless - in terms of response time and what-not. I stopped using a mouse earlier this year, due to OOS, and instead got myself a Wacom tablet. It's been the best $125 I've ever spent! While it did take a while to get used to (using a pen on a tablet, instead of a mouse), you pick it up quite quickly and it has gotten rid of my symptoms. |

2008-12-29 00:19:00 | I use a MS wireless Notebook 6000 on my desktop nice a responsive and it fits my smaller hands better than the normal size mice do | gary67 (56) | |
2008-12-29 01:52:00 | Microsoft wireless I find very good. Remember looking in the NZ Herald within the last seven days and seeing Harvey Norman had them ridiculously cheap ! Or was that the Boxing Day sale only ? -- Pay to check Misty :D

2008-12-29 02:09:00 | Thanks for your help guys. Went into the local computer shop, had a look at one of these (www.ascent.co.nz) which seemed fairly comfortable, however, in the shop it was $120. | davidmmac (4619) | |
2008-12-29 02:16:00 | Ok, think I may get one of these (www.ascent.co.nz), which at $56.70 seems like a bargain :) | davidmmac (4619) | |
