532141 2008-12-31 08:59:00 Does anyone know if you plug a usb harddrive into the free view box it'll let you record programmes just like having a vcr recording off a normal tv channel?


There are alot of different brands of freeview.All of them are HD freeview.I suppose they are all the same?

532142 2008-12-31 21:39:00 It's entirely possible provided it's designed to do it. But like you say, there are many of them.

They would be different, remember these things are not just designed for "Freeview" but should work with any DVB-T/S transmissions provided they're unencrypted.

The firmware might be modified slightly for NZ, maybe not
