If 'like that' is deleted from the last sentence, I agree. Bill may lose a milli-second of his nap time. (And even his nap time costs the world a $quillion per hour.) :D

But consumers expect Windows. That is all there is in the consumers eyes  (ok, those white things called Macs).

Apparently those white things called Macs offer a pretty good ROI in education circles according to this article:D

Pennsylvania university pulls PC plug, goes all-Mac
'It is ... the superior OS, isn't it?' says Wilkes University's IT chief
March 15, 2007 (Computerworld) -- Wilkes University announced yesterday that it has pulled the plug on PCs in favor of Macs, saying the move -- which actually began last year -- will save the Pennsylvania liberal arts college more than $150,000 while still letting students and faculty continue to run Windows applications.

Touted as one of the first colleges to mandate a campuswide shift from Windows PCs to Macs, the Wilkes-Barre, Pa., school wasn't a bastion of all things Apple before the decision, said Scott Byers, vice president for finance and the head of campus IT. Macs, in fact, were a minority.

I know, i don't base my purchases on that kind of thinking. Life is too short to be an OS fanboy. (or graphics card, or chip manufacturer..).

MS polices over the years have bugged me, right back to crushing those noble freedom fighters at Digital research (DR-DOS). :nerd: But i gave linux a good 'ol try as an exclusive-use OS and it just wasn't right for me at the time. Why? Tempted to use the phrase 'life's too short' again but that might bring out the worst in some.. :)

If people expect(?) windows, they probably deserve to get them.
Little Willy won't care too much either way, M$ is big enough to not need any contact with the world of reality any more.

Fortunately not as much as they steal PCs. When I was at design school back on 2000 they actually had a G4 tower stolen from the 8th floor of the school buy some body walking out of the elevator and picking it up ( Mac towers have built in handles) and walking back into the elevator and out of the building. No body asked the person what they were doing.

If you had warts, and they suddenly vanished, would you try and get them back? Sorry, too easy . ;):D

I think they actually put a code lock on the door after that. Talking of warts, if they resembled a PC box:p I'd be glad if they were gone.
