| 532699 | 2007-03-14 04:21:00 | Well the Window users seem to love it. Pity the Linux users (with the latest flash-plugin?) are being tormented with the constant large purple square flashes. :rolleyes: I have no choice but to block it unfortunately because of this. Hopefully it gets sorted. :) |

| 532700 | 2007-03-14 04:51:00 | At least on this NetBSD machine I'm now using it only temporarily obstructs the page with a large "Click Here to Download Plugin" box. At home I have now blocked ads completely. I'm perfectly happy to have ads included in pages which provide content I enjoy but the moment they become intrusive whether through annoying positioning or excessive colour differences, both of which are a problem in this case, the ad will be blocked. | TGoddard (7263) | ||

| 532702 | 2007-03-15 09:37:00 | The reason it doesn't work on linux boxes is because flash player for linux doesn't support wmode (weblogs.macromedia.com). Wmode is a flash parameter you can set when including flash movies in a web page, and is what makes flash able to overlay on a page with the normal content underneath nicely visible. Side-note: Moving swiftly over the ad towards the top right and out of the browser so that the visible yellow corner has no text in it but is still 'unpeeled' makes a 650px by 650px section of the screen un-clickable, heh (www.imagef1.net.nz). Well, it's technically clickable but any links in that area are unusable. |
