I was talking to the fly spray sales rep a while ago and she told me that these are the ones with the stronger mixes.

Stay away from cheap brands such as Pams, Budget, Basics etc... as they are heavily watered down and weak.

Also stay away from anything odourless as these are also weak.

Happy fly spray hunting.

531918 2007-03-12 04:36:00 Many, many moons ago when I was a handsome young chappie in the Merchant Navy (don't believe me do you?) you found that any ship you went on to was riddled with cockies. Even after extensive fumigation you never got rid of the buggers completely. When on "days aboard" the cookie would leave out our supper (covered) in the engineers smoko room. On returning from a night on the grog we all crept in to the smoko room with drawn lighters set on full blast, surrounded the table, tapped it and any that scurried out were fried to a crisp in a second. Often found the odd one on my chest or other areas too delicate to mention-reaching for the lighter was not an option in those cases!! The food, needless to say went over the side. The biggest cockie ever I saw was in Sydney. Got a lift home in the early hours of the morning in a milk float back to the docks. Just as we were stopping I saw what I thought was a leaf blowing in the gutter-nope it was a cockie about 3 inches long by about 2 inches wide. How big can rats grow to? I will give you a clue-they have long ears, cuddly and cute and many kids have them for pets. I bet you don't believe that one either but it's true. I could tell you about the biggest spiders I have seen but I realise that there are some people who have an aversion to them so unless someone asks I will keep quiet.
Regards Gordon.

531920 2007-03-14 01:04:00 The only time I ever use flyspray is if I am in a hurry to go out and there are a few buzzing around the house. The rest of the time I get the vacuum cleaner out and suck them up the hose after practicing my stalking skills. It's a very efficient, rather enjoyable activity and you don't have to go around finding dead fly bodies to dispose of afterwards. FoxyMX (5)

I can't believe someone else does this. :)
I think you do get a far better kill rate though - and even if you spray the buggers, you still need to vacuum them up afterwards.

531923 2007-03-14 04:49:00 I like the surprised look on their faces as they go down the nozzle flying backwards trying to head for the light. zqwerty (97)
