2008-12-31 00:20:00 | Are you trying to tell me that no one on this forum NEVER downloads pirated material Of course not - saying that would be stupid - but you did ask Why was it suggested that I not state what I was downloading and forum rules clearly states - no help is allowed if its pirated etc : 5) Subject Matter: Asking for, or giving advice on how to pirate software will not be tolerated. This includes posting links to sites where Warez, no-CD hacks, keygens etc can be found. This also covers advice on how to illegally gain access to a commercial service, such as Sky TV. Users are also not allowed to share, discuss or promote sites containing pirated movies and apps, or how to download and burn these pirated movies So if the program was free to download from their site, you could do that, it would be a LOT faster as well to download - but to download it legally you need to pay for it.(according to the site)

2008-12-31 22:03:00 | I don't pay anything to watch TV shows for free on TV, why should I pay to download them?Try contacting the program producers, or TV NZ and ask them - be interesting to see their response. Edited: The first thing that come as to mind though is on the TV there are adverts all the time - which pay for your free viewing pleasure - on a paid download there are no advertisements. Take Sky movies for example - you pay for a movie = No Adverts.

2008-12-31 23:16:00 | But I always put the ads on mute, ignore them and 99% of the time never buy what they're advertising... TVNZ gets money from showing them, that's great for them - and they still will no matter if I'm watching or not. They have no idea what I'm watching/not watching

2009-01-01 01:54:00 | And what do you think pays for the Free programs on TV - advertising, doesn't matter if anyone watches it or not. If you go and rent a DVD from your local rental place - you dont have advertising breaks every so often on a DVD - why ?? - because you pay for it. So if you want to watch a program on TV you record it , if it goes wrong, or its forgotten - its tough luck.

Many of them think the money they pay to their ISP covers everything ! |

2009-01-01 08:44:00 | The prices on itunes are outrageous. They're more expensive than if you took a movie out from your local video shop. Why is there not a reasonably priced easily accessible service? I think most people would use it if there was. Why is everything so complicated????
