Is what it looks like

The left hangs out the back. So, you press the 2 ends. And the drive will come out

2 would look like this (www.imagef1.net.nz)

733189 2009-03-02 22:57:00 That looks completely different to the ones I need, unfortunately. Agent_24 (57)
733190 2009-03-02 22:59:00 Well they'll work on any hdd (they go into the holes on the side of a hdd).

Just as long as the hdd is in a 3.5 enclosure

733191 2009-03-02 23:11:00 No, the rails are for 5.25" drive bays, but for internal 3.5" drives the case uses metal boxes with space for 3 drives each.

The case can take two of these boxes but only came with one.

I needed new rails and/or another internal drive box.

In either case, your rails probably wouldn't fit, they look too skinny and the clips probably wouldn't line up with the hole...

733192 2009-03-02 23:19:00 You probably need something like this (edencomputers.co.nz) then

But they're a bit of a tight fit

Which is probably the same as this (www.xpcgear.com)

733193 2009-03-02 23:51:00 That's no good, I'd still need the removable drive rails to mount those brackets into the 5.25" bays Agent_24 (57)
733194 2009-03-03 00:01:00 You may as well get a removable rack then. That fits into a 5.25 bay.

And you chuck the hdd in it

733195 2009-03-03 00:29:00 It doesn't matter what I get, any 5.25" device requires rails to mount into my case. I only have 4 rails and I'm already using them all.

The internal 3.5" box is using a floppy drive and a HDD. I don't want to add another drive in between the two because there's no room for airflow.

733196 2009-03-03 21:35:00 The case is a Xaser II. I may have some spares as i'm only using a couple of the 5.25 drive bays, will check when I get home. autechre (266)
