| 531833 | 2007-03-11 20:03:00 | I gotta say about a month ago there was a miriad of people saying on here that they arent going to buy vista cause things wouldnt work and thes uac is a pain in the ass etc etc.Now i have noticed on this site over tha last couple of weeks more and more people are buying vista so despite all the comments of people flatly refusing to use it the pressure is building and people are starting to use vista it wont be long before its bye bye xp. In my case its through work... |

| 531835 | 2007-03-12 03:11:00 | I can get it for free...pretty much any version I would want..but I am not going to accept it anyway. I am gonna become a curmudgeon like PJ and other curmudgeonly ones who actually would rather still be using 98 or 95 if they had their ways. Since there's already a new M$ offering in the works...I think Vista might just be another ME. "....floss 'em if ya got 'em!" |

Being generous, 4 out of the 255 views of this thread up to now, is hardly setting the world alight, now is it . Of course, there are probably a few that don't want to admit to wanting Vista let alone actually possessing it . |

In fact, I wont get it. And, since I found a set of instructions on making a Vodem work with Linux, it may be that XP becomes a largely ceremonial bit of disk clutter as well. (Don't think they've got Vodems working with Vista yet.) |

| 531840 | 2007-03-13 06:43:00 | Re: Has anyone bought Vista in the last week ? It is reliably reported that someone in Petone bought a copy yesterday. However, the sale may not be enforceable as he was very drunk at the time. |

Everything has changed. PC rules, remember? Everybody has become big wimps after being brought up wrapped up in cotton wool and natural selection of the toughest denied. The chickens are all coming home to roost. |
