532629 2007-03-13 08:01:00 Just as a matter of idle interest will DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink run under Vista? Hypothetically that is.................. Winston001 (3612)
532630 2007-03-13 08:05:00 Hypothetically, in my experience, they will. (Short answer yes: I used DVD-Decrypter to rip an ISO of a Linux CD because I didn't have any other software installed which could do it). somebody (208)
532631 2007-03-13 08:17:00 clone dvd 2 and any dvd work with vista very well and you can view them back on vista as well, other programs you couldnt view it. Hitech (9024)
532632 2007-03-13 09:13:00 I think it supports DVD Decrypter, because Vista is much more advanced than windows 9X/xp

532634 2007-03-13 11:05:00 No idea what 'more advanced that windows 9X/xp' gets at in relation to application compatibility

I can confirm DVD Region-Free (From dvdidle.com) works nicely with DVD Shrink. Had some problems with the install the first time around of Region-Free, I thought it'd hung, it was just taking an _insane_ amount of time!

532636 2007-03-14 21:30:00 There may be a problem forum.digital-digest.com

Vista is supposedly restrictive about playback hardware that isn't DRM'd. It would only be a short step to stopping software that offended the Movie/Music industry. The developer of DVDD was forced to stop working on that program and he's now doing a CD/DVD burner with no ripping ability

Like he will sell millions of those..

532638 2007-03-15 00:11:00 Selling was never his point. Imgburn is something you can use while waiting for the commercial progs like Nero that do cost become bug free :-) PaulD (232)
