| 733993 | 2009-01-01 21:07:00 | I can't get any freeview picture or sound from the Nova-T-500 card. Windows media in Vista recognises the dual card but goes no further. It can't decode the MPEG4 signal that is used by NZ Freeview. I've down loaded GB-PVR but that doesn't work either. It doesn't list the above card, and when I when I try to use the Tuning Assistant and select the 'nearest' (?) card it tells me "Failed to find Crossbar filter. Wrong device type?" If I start the PVRX2 program itself I get a black TV-type screen which I can't get rid of. I'd be most grateful for someone who can get a TV picture using this card on Vista to tell me how they did it! |

| 733994 | 2009-01-01 21:24:00 | This doesn't really answer your question but I use this card on a Linux distro with MythTv. To get this system to work in NZ its necessary to apply a patch to enable it to decode the audio stream. Otherwise you can't even scan for channels. I'd say you need to get a codec that understand this stream. Assuming of course that the card is working properly first. Since you are using Vista you could try searching the Mediaportal forums to see if any NZer has gotten Freeview to work on it. | pico (4752) | ||

If you have neither of these then this is why you can't see picture. Also for audio you need the monogram audio codec. The tuning assistant you're trying to use if for the older analog cards. If you're ally having issues, come over to gbpvr.com and post on the forums there, there are a bunch of us using FreeviewHD with gbpvr (myself included). |
