Does anyone know of a good place to start search for a hands on tech based role? I have just come out of Datacom Auckland's Technical Support Services, and cannot seem to find a hands on job. Seek.co.nz is looking for people with higher qualifications, I have my A+/Network+, am young and know quite a lot for my age (18)Job agencys seem to keep giving me helpdesk jobs, which i dont want as i have been in one for 7 months.Any ideas?

534150 2007-03-18 23:29:00 Good luck. It's gonna be hard to get a foot in the door if you have had little to none experience.

You know, if there are some new retail companies starting up, why not apply for them?
They will need IT support in the future as they expand right?

Check shop websites.
Check wholesaler websites.

Or forget it and move into networking or something because being a shop tech sucks as far as pay goes.

Without university qualifications you probably aren't going to get very far. Employers also tend not to understand current NCEA grading system, so don't rely on that a a qualifcation.

Not by much unfortunately.

Creole Lamb

1 sliced onion, 1 sliced pepper, 2 zucchinis, 1 clove garlic
Whatever lamb chops, pieces etc you have handy
2 tsps cummin, 2 tsps corinader, 2 tsps pepper, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tbsp tomato paste
Saute onion, garlic and peppers, add rest of ingedients except zucchini, simmer till tender. Add sliced zucchini near the end. That varies as for instance I am currently doing this with mutton pieces which of course takes longer.

Serve on rice.
