I only had my fishing poles and my license specifically says "finned variety of freshwater aquatic culture with an occasional crustacean or mollusk . . . . . deer do not fit the category . I don't condemn those who hunt . . but it had better be for food and not trophies! Besides, these were just babies . . . . still dark colored from birth . That way they can hide in shadows better than a lighter colored mature deer . I see no difference in buying dead animals in the market and to procuring them yourself in the wild . They just better wind up as tucker (food to the US-types) . :lol: Methinks that the mental picture of Americans is that we all carry side arms and have a rack of firearms in the back window of our pickup trucks . . . . and that's far from the truth . The local sheriff won't let us carry loaded firearms . . . if we carry a firearm, the ammunition has to be in a locked or "far-from-the-driver" enclosure (the trunk is ok) . Hangings are only done on days when the circuit riding judge is in town, drunks are not thrown through saloon windows and Indians are mostly running the crap tables or repairing the slot machines in their casinos nowadays . We see a cow in the news when it gets out of the pen and finds the bumper of an 18-wheeler and kills the driver . . . but that's about it . The school principal comes in from the state capitol and we have a big spelling bee with the grade schoolers and a big picnic with our small brass band plays music in the evening when the olde folks dance in the gazebo . NOT! |
