| 734310 | 2009-01-07 20:51:00 | I don't know how long you have been in IT, but I was around in the 80's when IBM PC's first came out. I worked for and then owned a company that sold PC's. They all had Intel CPU's. Every month we got new price lists from our suppliers. Long lists of Intel CPU's. Every now and then they introduced a new faster chip at the top of their range and the rest all moved down. But the prices overall NEVER dropped. It was only when AMD came out that Intel were forced to drop their prices in a big way. So if people don't support the opposition (buy buying them) the incumbent will keep their prices up. Well then Digby, YOU buy the AMD cpu's even if they arent the current bang for buck solution...someone has too no?...Thats the worst excuse ever mate! |

| 734312 | 2009-01-08 09:51:00 | Its not in English It appears to be am index featuring many many articles. This leaves me in a bit of a pickle, am I expected to learn a foreign language I haven't yet identified so I can read what maybe hundreds or thousands of pages of text in order to restore my faith in AMD? Sorry about that. The article was actually in English. Try this (www.geek.com) link instead. |

What you fail to comprehend is that both Intel and Nvidia can drop their prices to such an extent that AMD cant be best bang for bang if Intel or Nvidia dont wish it too. |
