533671 2007-03-18 22:17:00 In the example I am most qualified to speak on, remuneration for elected members makes up nearly 2% of the total expenditure, and will be less from October 2007. Lizard (2409)
533672 2007-03-18 22:30:00 So, if the councils all sue themselves often enough, the expenditure on councillors will become vanishingly small (as a percentage of the total)?
Maybe if I pay my rates as a percentage of my discretionary income . . . ?

533676 2007-03-19 08:26:00 lol the news has even spread to the UK (www.theregister.co.uk) motorbyclist (188)
533677 2007-03-19 12:50:00 Don't you be laughing there motorbyclist, as a westie, you were there when all this happened . You'll probably be called as a witness when they appeal .
Hmm, do they need two teams of lawyers, one for the defense, one for the prosecution? With the legal profession being what it is, probably need back up teams on stand by, and with a council there are always consultants so . . .

Sorry motorbyclist,
Without a doubt, the ratepayers are going to feel something distinctly uncomfortable in the nether regions . They've got you well and truly .
