533366 2007-03-16 18:56:00 It's just that, as I have said, the AOC 193S seems too cheap for it's specs, and hardly appears on google even. No reviews.

I don't want to buy it, and find it has shocking colour reproduction or something.

Its been replaced by a newer model thats why.
Although AOC is cheaper than some, but not as cheap as others.
Its in the middle really.

They're fine, its a 3yr onsite warranty.
If you're worried about how it looks go into a shop and look at one.

533368 2007-03-17 09:48:00 Just bought a HP 20' Wide screen for a client, $506+ GST, there is NO comparison between the 20" and my dual 17" @ work, if I could, I'd get the 20" every time, or the Dell 22", another great monitor.

533370 2007-03-19 05:24:00 Ok, I think I'm going for the "Viewsonic VX2025wm Black 20" Widescreen 16:10 1680x1050 8ms DVI LCD Monitor" for about $600.

From reviews it seems it has very nice colour quality, and it's not too expensive.

Only thing is, that is one heck of a resolution. These are my system specs:

Athlon xp 2000
768mb ram
Geforce 4 Ti 4200

Will that be able to handle games even on minumum specs at that resolution? Or should I be upgrading to a 7300GT?

Bit annoyed that i'm wasting a good monitor on this pc, but I'm sure sometime I will upgrade it to a much more game capable pc. Because with such a nice monitor, i'm sure games will creep onto it pretty fast ;)

Oh, just realised I think I already told you my system specs. Meh, oh well.

533371 2007-03-19 05:35:00 Oh, and not sure about the DVI stuff. The monitor has "15-pin mini D-sub and DVI-D"

My graphics card: www.msi.com.tw (pretty sure it's this)

Will this be compatable? I know, I know, people say they can't see a differnce between vga and dvi, but I just want dvi ok?

** Ok, it looks like from the picture of my graphics card, and the examples on wikipedia, that my card has DVI-I, which is apparantly digital and analogue, so it should be sweet right? DVI-D into DVI-I would work perfectly I assume.

No idea what D-sub is, anyone care to explain that?

533372 2007-03-19 05:42:00 And are you pleased with it?

One assumes said unit is in your possession by now.

As I suspected,by the time you get that lot a new and better model will be out.
So do ask again in the future.
