533688 2007-03-17 01:40:00 Ive dropped/thrown my phone a fair few times (and maybe a few unfair times) and it has stood alot of punishment. It still goes great and only a few minor scratches. (Samsung a920)

But if you have phone isurance, just smash it and claim.:badpc:

533690 2007-03-17 04:33:00 I am curious what people think. Should a phone be durable enough to withstand a reasonable "drop" (not from 10 stories on concrete of course), but a drop from say 2 feet onto a hard surface.

Of course. Husband dropped his Motorola brick numerous times of various house roofs. It still works. Alas it sits in a cupboard now being stuck on 025.

Could be a collectors item in 50 years.

As long as he wasn't attached to the phone when it fell off the roof :(

It's a picture. Of a cellular telephone. Where's the confusion?

533694 2007-03-18 05:03:00 If you were puzzled by my last entry on this subject you should be. Because I am also. I did quote the original letter then made a comment - but only the quote has appeared. My comment is nonexistent. Ah well ignored again.
