| 733960 | 2009-01-01 05:12:00 | Hey all, I've come into some money and my old computer is dying (Dell Inspiron 9300) and not worth an upgrade. I'd like to go with a desktop system this time and wondering if you guys could recommend some places. I'm a heavy gamer (World of Warcraft mainly) and run Fedora 9 as my OS, so looking for something a lil souped up. Appreciate the help. Haidee |

And what's your budget? Would you be happy building one yourself? Or would you rather have the reassurance of a store bought one? |

| 733968 | 2009-01-01 07:36:00 | I don't have a set budget in mind, but I'm not 100% confident in putting one together on my own either. I don't want to buy a package though unless there is room to customise it etc - can you even buy a computer without Windows on it these days? The only other games I play are Second Life occasionally and popcap dinky games. My previous machine has 2Ghz processor, 2gig ram, nvidia card etc from 2005 so a step up from that would be nice. |
