534030 2007-03-18 06:37:00 Er.......for some reason, at least in Firefox, I can't use smilies in a post. And the new thread I did a few moments ago lost it's paragraphing. Odd. What have I done wrong? Winston001 (3612)
534031 2007-03-18 06:56:00 You killed the Smilies?! :waughh: :dogeye: :xmouth:

Your last post has paragraphs showing in it? Time to clear out the internet cache? You haven't disabled javascript?

534032 2007-03-18 07:37:00 I'm not totally lost without them . . they were cute, but not actually necessary . . .

I can still type the smilies in if I really want to . :P

. . . . . . but what IS good is that I can now use my Alt+xxxx keys!

Yippee!

ÿ Æ ¼ ™ ¿ € ¶ etc, etc . . . . .

Seems a lot of things have changed . . . the "peel me" thing never appeared, even on non-Adblock Plus computers, the ALT+xxxx thing, of course, and I don't see the pix of Josef Stalin, which I did see for only a day or so .

The mods icons are gone and most times the names/signatures are simpler too . . and NO . . I am not viewing in HTML either . . . OH, yes, spell checker works here now too .

There's a big red banner at the top . . but it's blank .

534034 2007-03-18 07:57:00 Who needs smilies anyway? :badpc:
What with all the suckage, :badpc: can we be sure it is safe to use javascript here? :help:
Ah what the hey, live dangerously. :badpc:

534035 2007-03-18 09:53:00 Nope, cleared cache, Java is enabled under Options, just opened and closed Firefox, no difference. Also the "more" link under the smilies doesn't work either. Hmmmmm...... Winston001 (3612)
534036 2007-03-18 10:13:00 Do you have "No-Script"?
I have got smilies etc. back and WYSIWG editing, but the (edit expletive) spam in the top right corner is fouling my pixels again.

534037 2007-03-18 10:40:00 Java != JavaScript.

Make sure you have JavaScript enabled.

534038 2007-03-18 22:07:00 Yep Javascript allowed, rebooted, WYSIWHG option..........No dice........... Just trying a paragraph Next I'll try IE7. Nope, paragraphing no good either! :badpc: Winston001 (3612)
534039 2007-03-20 10:54:00 Ok you lot, I had to struggle away myself while all of you geeks were off doing.............................geeky things :xmouth::nerd:

But as you can see, I'm back with the program.:badpc:

Turns out Adblock 05.3.043 (who names this stuff ) was blocking smilies and some other forum functions.

Is there a better Adblock extension?
