what i want is for it to open in the iframe below

On top of that, you will risk incompatibility with certain browser platforms if you use fonts that seem attractive / stylish (try displaying the font "Jokerwood" on a Linux-based browser).

I'm not sure what's your rationale behind running two frames on one page. Can't you run the navigation iFrame on a regular page?
