| 734997 | 2009-01-04 04:44:00 | Happy New Year All I got a new notebook for Christmas which has come with a "trial" version of Windows Live One Care (under Vista Home Premium SP 1). I've done nothing to activate it but every time i start up it prompts me that it "needs attention" which I ignore. It is, however, altering my firewall settings under certain circumstances without me asking it to. So, the question is, "Is it worth bothering with or shall I just zap it?" Any opinions for or against gratefully received. |

Apparently not. All I've heard about OneCare is that it's mediocre and pretty useless, and you can get a lot better programs for free. Even Norton is probably a step up! |
