I have Deleted OneCare from the Laptop and also Onecare from the registry ( Just in Case ? ) I was wondering if it might be Windows defender Id like to remove that as well as I want to put in my own Virus protection programs Cheers and Thanks |

NOT a good idea deleting folders without uninstalling the program/s first |

To disable Windows Defender - click start in the search type in msconfig Select it when it shows - Under the startup Tab, Untick it, click Apply/OK then reboot - that should stop it from running - to check, once rebooted, click start type in Services - open services - scroll down till you locate Windows Defender, double click it - in the box in the middle it should be set to disabled. |
