534352 2007-03-19 09:22:00 Hi there

Our family are planning a trip to Aust in a few momnths, i was wondering which park would be better for 13-17yr old teenagers plus parents, Wet 'n' Wild Water World or WhiteWater World.

Weve been to Wet 'n' Wild Water World but havent heard much on Dreamworls WhiteWater World.

Comments or a site giving travellers comments on Aust activities appreciated.

Thanks

John.

534355 2007-03-19 11:19:00 WhiteWater World must be new as it wasn't there when I went to Surfers about 8 years ago.
At that time we went to Wet n Wild and I didn't think much of it.
I have been to similar parks in South Africa and they were much better.

534356 2007-03-19 11:26:00 Those parks add new attractions every year, and do a major add-on every 5 or so years.

Wet 'n' Wild has had a major expansion, In simple terms, IT ROCKS, dont miss it.

The dreamworld water park I didnt look at last time I visited the park (about a year ago) but it was pretty limited 5 years ago when I went for a dip, 2 lame slides and a pool, My guess is that area has been redeveloped in the last few years.

Though that is just a guess, perhaps they have a website........

534357 2007-03-19 11:43:00 Having just got back from visiting Dreamworld last week (not doing whitewater world but seeing it clearly from the majestic heights reached on the thrill rides - and speaking to friends that we were at Dreamworld with that had done the whitewater park a few days earlier) I would say that whitewater world has more 'thrill ride' water rides and wet 'n wild would be more oriented towards the younger family. I did wet 'n wild a few years ago and found it to cater to the younger park goer.

Or as previously stated - do both!!

You can purchase a special entrance ticket to Dreamworld and whitewater world which lets you park hop (similar to Disneyland and California Experience in LA).

Just don't miss out on 'The Claw', 'Wipeout', 'The Giant Drop', or 'The Tower of Terror' in Dreamworld.

Aren't theme parks just the ducks nuts!!:D

You can say that again. :D

One of the best holidays I've ever had was back in 2001 when we did the Gold Coast thing and took in most of the theme parks. I lost count of the number of times I went on all those rollercoasters. :p

John: Like the others have said, do all of them. You only live once. ;)
