Just been at the Garmins website, I think, map capable units do cost more and the extra maps do add up and its far from extensive. Most of my travels are international. Another thing is that downloading from PC is nice but you are dependent on computer software / drivers with new operating systems but I can just manually input them in. |

| 535481 | 2007-03-25 00:50:00 | I have a Bluetooth GPS that I connect with my PDA. I've used it in Europe, good for driving but crappy for anything else. Screens too small to display useful details using maps etc. If your walking everywhere a map is way more useful. The programs cost a few bob and I don't have a NZ map program. So really its just a toy....... Mind you, he who has the most toys, wins! |
