535404 2007-03-24 07:54:00 Oh Darn!
I have an evening job :(
If you don't want either of these transformers, they can go back under the hot water cylinder and languish again, otherwise, PM me and I can send you the one that you choose.

535407 2007-03-24 11:39:00 Cost? What is so special about a drill from the US? The charger will be 110v, so you would need an auto transformer, or one of those small switched mode voltage converters.

Edit: I bought a $9 one from Supercheap auto :) it has a real chuck, ie. a chuck with a key. It has done a lot of work and is going fine.
SuperCrap. Drill didn't last a month and the nut driver didn't last one job. Battery charge was hopeless. Total waste of money. Since bought an 18volt Hitachi for about $360 and it has been a far better investment

Does it need to be that exact model?

Thanks again PC.
You will note the IMPACT driver, which I am after,is $722.
This not a cordless drill, but a cordless impact driver.
If one was to use a drill with the amount of tarque generated by one of these,it would break your wrist.

They are slow to take off here, but are being used by tek screw users etc.

535410 2007-03-24 21:48:00 Funny that, Our main use of cordless drills is to remove Tek screws, and the average screw will quite happily burn out the average drill within seconds. Metla (12)

The impact driver I have at the moment, has 135nm of torque, that enrgy is not felt on wrist.
Ask any pro tek screw user.

535412 2007-03-25 05:54:00 My mistake, We dont use cordless drills for Tek screws, we have a bunch or reguler ones we run off a large generator. No idea why I was thinking cordless. Metla (12)
