| 736627 | 2009-01-09 00:48:00 | I have 2 pc's. My Maxtor One Touch 4 external hard drive is detected on my XP box, but on my Vista Ultimate 64 machine it doesn't show, neither did it when I tried to plug it into a friends Mac to give him some files. It just sits there with the power light on making a faint, repetitive noise. Maxtor's website doesn't offer a solution. Any ideas? |

For some reason the cable supplied doesn't work but I tried another USB/Power cable that has two USB plugs on the end one marked power and the other marked power/data. If I plug the power/usb plug into my PC it detects. | supersi (8401) | ||
