736512 2009-01-08 22:11:00 Hi all.
Following a very recent PF1 thread re Vista windows Mail only remembering the last 29 addresses I down loaded and installed Windows Live Mail, as SWMBO kept complaining about that very problem.
Very happy with Live Mail.:clap
What the naughty Bill:badpc: also did without any option is also install Windows live Messenger which now starts with windows.:annoyed:
I do not need or want it.
How do I uninstall it.:help:
Checked add remove programs and not seen. Checked add remove windows components nothing there either.
Checked on Google. Lots about XP and very little for Vista that applies to this.

736515 2009-01-09 01:13:00 Ok...as a long shot. Have you tried reinstalling Windows Live Messenger so that it installs over the top of your current one to see if it appears in the Add/Remove programmes or as a Windows component. - just incase the original was a crook install.

I operate XP and it is definitely in my Add/Remove Programmes box.

736516 2009-01-09 01:29:00 It was installed at the same time as Live mail.
I dont have a copy to reinstall.
Have stopped it from starting with CCCleaner. Now all I gotta do is get rid of it.
