| 536546 | 2007-03-28 22:10:00 | Just placed my cursor over the NZ Herald's NZ map and noticed that Gisborne falls into an area called East Cape. I always thought it was part of Hawkes Bay. When did this change, or have the Herald got it wrong? |

| 536549 | 2007-03-29 06:15:00 | As the others said... 'Twas never part of Hawke's Bay. Gisborne is in the area that Cook called Poverty Bay. I believe the Maori name for the area is Tairawhiti, but it now seems to be referred to (at least by the people Don Brash called the 'mainstream') as East Cape. |
