536497 2007-03-28 10:49:00 I've recently found that quite a few companies contact forms have just stopped working and I get server error messages. Today I have tried to contact two companies ,Toyota, and Stihl, both which are quite large companies, and both websites are returning server errors when I pressed the send button on the contact form. One is a 500 server error, and the other is a Coldfusion error. Very annoying after typing out the message, only for it to be wiped. These companies also don't display an alternative email address to use, just the form. Why can't these so called professional web designers get these things sorted. It seems to be a growing problem, as I have noticed a number of other websites with the same problem over teh last month. rogerp (6864)
536498 2007-03-28 11:05:00 Have you tried using there contact forms at different times of day (just in case the server is busy)

Have you tried a different browser?

You can thank spammers for that.

Hi Stu, I have tried both IE and Opera.
stihl.co.nz I have tried several times over the last week. I did find a normal email address in the end for that one. Toyota I have just tried this evening, in both opera and IE. It seems to do quite a bit of checking, including if the phone number is a valid NZ number, but entering all the correct info, it displays on both browsers

500 Server Error
The following error occurred: [code=RESOURCE_RECLAIMED] Internal error. Try again.
Could not open error file

I have got an email address for toyota by doing a whois lookup, just very frustrated when my email gets wiped when teh contact form fails.
