| 536417 | 2007-03-28 05:24:00 | Hi Folks I am having trouble with my family tree input data - I made an error with the input of my father - he has ended up being the son of his grandparents!! :blush: I have tried to change his parents but the "CHANGE PARENTS" box with the drop down list shows his grandparents as his parents and I can't change this. I now have the situation of his father and my father both having the same parents!! Is there anyone please who can help? TIA (Mrs) Smithie 38 |

You may not know the name of his grandparents but put in "unknown" ? I have just closed my PC where I have Genesreunited and haven't set up shared files with this laptop. I tried editing (and clicking here and there) but because I have accidentally got my George's mixed up, (my father and grandfather were both George) George the son is attached as son to his grandfather - confusing I know. To change parents it says highlight the correct one in the drop down box but it only gives the grandparents, so I appear to be stuck with only them to choose from. I would appreciate it if you could look at yours sometime and perhaps twig on how I get out of the muddle. Failing that I will contact the Genes support team as Rob_in_Guitar suggested.
