| 536020 | 2007-03-26 09:14:00 | I have just had the most hilarious entertainment from TV3. I had to check at first that I was on the right channel. I was being advised what to wear tomorrow! I don't think there are many television services in the world who advise the nation what to wear! My doubt was eliminated at the sight of Toni Marsh. I was not mistakenly listening to the other channel. I was greatly amused to notice that while people today are making noise about us having a "nanny state", we have two national television channels who religiously tell us what to wear tomorrow - nothing to do with the Government. It's how we are as a nation - spoon-fed. Then, to follow and add to my hilarious experience, John Cambell stiffly berating Michael Laws over push for a Bill banning gang patches, ruffling his feathers in sheer provocation. In case I could possibly take this seriously, we had Jackie Brown's item poking cheap laughs at a religion older than Christianity, because of it's veneration of nature. More respect I think would be shown to a patched gang member than was to this spiritual leader! Actually, it made a bad end to an otherwise hilariously absurd day in the life of this inbred people |

Lets not bother to argue the rights of scum. Just tie to a railway iron and throw them in the river. And as for his reporter disrespecting the area by calling it Whanganui, What a load of choad, I bet if I done a television piece on her tribe and deliberately announced it wrong there would be an outcry, especially if I justified it by saying thats how its pronounced in my home town. Who am I kidding, We aren't allowed to disrespect Te Rubbisho, It wouldn't go to air until retraining by a cultural adviser had taken place. |

John C didn't say it was wrong, they just pronounce it differently. Even happens with the English language you know. |

Uh, I never said that John said it was wrong, That aside, The place is Wanganui, Deciding its something else is arrogance that they themselves don't allow. Not that I will elaborate on just who "they" may be. |

How big a problem are they actually Metla, it wasn't made that clear in the story (except by Michael Laws)? And as for his reporter disrespecting the area by calling it Whanganui, What a load of choad, I bet if I done a television piece on her tribe and deliberately announced it wrong there would be an outcry, especially if I justified it by saying thats how its pronounced in my home town. I got all confused. I was trying to work out what this town "Whanganui" was and then I saw Michael Laws and the penny dropped ... |

| 536026 | 2007-03-27 09:57:00 | How big a problem are they actually Metla, it wasn't made that clear in the story (except by Michael Laws)? In the CBD they simply aren't a problem, Mrs Metla works within 30 feet of where that footage was shot and she very rarely sees a patch . Mr Laws is simply trying to stop the place look so bad on the national scene, and the group interviewed on TV are minnows, Grandstanding all around . The problem with Wanganui is the prison just outside of town, They ship in all the scum from around the country who take up residence as soon as they are let out, Granted they usually get locked up again within a year but not before numerous people suffer from their actions, I would guess that Wanganui has an abnormal number of gangs in town, I gather there are numerous off shoots of the main 2 . The second issue is of course the local bike club, Who just happen to be part of a notorious world wide organization, a name that loves to be used as a buzz word by the media . So when a clash does happen it gets disproportionate exposure . |
