Because anyone can send an email, and from any email address. They would need to be able to reply to the email that the account was setup under, to confirm that it was in fact the account owner who wanted the account closed. Essentially they are protecting themselves, incase someone else tries to close your account without your permission, by just sending them an email. With a fax or letter, at least they would have it in writing, and it would be signed by the account owner, so they have protection againest being accused of deleting someones account without their permission. |

I've had excellent service from them, never any issues and the one or two times I've emailed hem with a query they got back to me straight away offering all sorts of advice and help. |

Their support is borderline, and after that episode Im not interested in leaving our company with them. Frankly, internet connection charges/comp repairers/site designers and all things to do with computing price themselves ridiculously high. It must be a trend set by Telecom, who deal their way through lies and exorbitant costs! |
