536359 2007-03-28 04:34:00 Real pictures of outer space are pretty dull; - they need to show a few heavenly bodies to take away the emptiness. :waughh:

I have a mrs that I could look at...but it aint heavenly, devilish more like it.

536360 2007-03-28 04:43:00 I can recommend an excellent book as an introduction to astronomy. Explorations, an introduction to astronomy by Thomas T. Arney, pub. Mosby isbn 0-8151-0717-x. It's a University text for Astronomy 107 so look for it on trademe at the end of semester.
Happy stargazing.

536363 2007-03-28 06:07:00 John Walker co-authored the original Auto-CAD, but he's got wide interests.
Here's his webpage:
http://www.fourmilab.ch/
It has all sorts of stuff (some of it quite wierd) including a beautiful screen saver that shows Earth from the Sun or Moon.
