735758 2009-01-07 20:54:00 Have a D_Link modem DSL-302G. If i purchase a more modern modem would that give me faster downloads and uploads. any advice appreciated.

I had the same and it caught fire so I had to replace it, got a DSE branded one nothing special but very happy with the quality and the setup speed

Get rid of it. You'd probably fid you have a more stable connection to the net with a newer modem.
