| 535873 | 2007-03-26 05:23:00 | DRM is one of the dumbest ideas of the digital age. It costs a company more to re invent it and patch it than it does for a "DVD Jon" to crack it 1 week later. Why not just use a quality open standard video codec and sell the clips at a cheap enough price and allow for a bit of sharing to take away the need to crack and distribute of purchased video files. Networks only have to have one file stored as opposed to hundreds of copies of DVD disks. |
