| 737638 | 2009-01-12 01:11:00 | Hi, Looking for a motherboard for a Q6600 Quad core CPU . For the RAM they tend to say DDR2 . Which speed do I get, I mean there are ones around $200-300 for 2x2GB, there are also Corsair Value ram at like $80 for the 2x2GB . What bandwidth should I look for . I am doing normal stuff, the odd game, gonna get a GF 9600GT, mostly photoshop and lightroom, photography stuff . Cheers . :D |

| 737640 | 2009-01-12 02:42:00 | DDR2 1000 or 1066 is a waste of time with the Q6600. If you can get 8 x 400 = 3600 mhz then you are running synchronous RAM anyway, more people run 9 x 333 = 3000 which is DDR2 667 | SolMiester (139) | ||
