| 737117 | 2009-01-10 21:59:00 | but when you open the lid nothing happens NT I could be wrong but I as far as I have seen when you open the lid a laptop doesnt start up, you normally have to press the power button once to take it out of stand by mode or hibernation mode. What power setting is your laptop under? |

Otherwise it is too easy for the lid to be accidentally lifted when the machine is carried about and the battery thereby discharged. |

| 737122 | 2009-01-11 04:40:00 | Whaow......didn't think I'd elicit this much of a responce....but here goes... No not a MOE laptop, my mum brought it .... Open lid AND press button and it still won't wake...so have sent it to stay on ....plus also in a recent update it has updated the bios which could apparently rectify this problem so will check that out next time I'm there. Thanks for the help...and advice..both sucky and good....lol |
