737123 2009-01-10 20:46:00 As some of u know, i was downloading windows 7 over night.
Just this morning when i went to check, someone had paused the download:eek:
I asked everyone that lived at my household and none of them even went near my computer!
Does anyone know if firefox(automaticly) pauses downloads at around 1 o'clock?

737124 2009-01-10 21:32:00 The server end probably stopped it. If it doesnt resume, the file has probably moved,or the link is dead Speedy Gonzales (78)
737125 2009-01-10 23:01:00 no, it just paused i didn't get cut off or anything just paused pcuser7895 (12979)
737126 2009-01-10 23:21:00 some dowload managers will pause the file if it stops downloading to many time or hits to many server errors. tweak'e (69)

737128 2009-01-10 23:46:00 I found with firefox (especially with some files from the MS site), file downloads did stop when I downloaded with firefox. They just stopped.

Why I dont know. I downloaded Vista x64 SP1 the other week. The download stopped 1/2 way. It kept timing out. In the end I used IE and IE7Pro, which can resume downloads.

It didnt stop once.

737129 2009-01-10 23:51:00 The W7 download from MS site, which is now up and running asks to install their download manager which does have a resume if the connection is interupted for any reason.

Thats using IE, personally Ihave had downloads from MS clap out using FF. IE, no problems at all.

737130 2009-01-11 03:02:00 I hope mine is ok. Ihug/Vodafone have been resetting my connection all day every 15-20 minutes or less. Might be this Fair Use policy bullsh*t thing they have.

At 92% so far so I hope it has been worthwhile.
