736830 2009-01-10 01:39:00 Its a Celeron 1.6 @ 1.5GB ram

I've just reinstalled XP on it (used to have Vista Basic on it).

I've managed to reinstall XP drivers for it (LAN/Sound/Modem/Wireless)

BUT, the bluetooth doesnt want to work !

I installed the BT drivers, but it cant find the onboard BT. Its waiting for me to plug a BT device in. I'm pretty sure BT is on it.

Anyone have any idea, how to get the onboard BT to work. Since the drivers cant find it?

Hmm, just checked Google, it looks like this is a prob with XP (getting the BT to work on it).

736832 2009-01-10 04:57:00 wat if U find the BT virtually and tell win xp that the BT needs drivers, then wouldn't the drivers be directed to the BT? pcuser7895 (12979)
736833 2009-01-10 05:07:00 Well you need some kind of driver first , before BT will work

Im pretty sure it's got BT on it (while Vista was on it).

Altho, now I've been told even tho its got the icon for BT on the front, it doesnt necessarily mean its got BT in/on it.. As the cases would have been mass produced. Whether its got BT or not

It just seems strange, that Acer have BT drivers, but the install cant find the onboard BT (if its there)

736834 2009-01-10 05:09:00 Some laptops have a setting in the BIOS to disable Bluetooth. stormdragon (6013)
736835 2009-01-10 05:16:00 This doesnt have a BT option in it lol.

All this has in the BIOS is ACHI/IDE mode.

I had to update the BIOS to see this option.

Or else XP wouldnt be on it now. Since it doesnt have a floppy for the SATA drivers. I had to change it to IDE mode, so I could install XP on it

Its got the time/date/year. Whether you want to show the logo on bootup, network book, Recovery (which is dead now, I killed the partition), Boot menu, password for the BIOS, and the boot menu, to boot from whatever

Thats it
