No way. What a short memory Cic. Look at the fiasco of the siege of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979 which went on for 444 days, an utter failure of a rescue attempt, where was John Wayne then when he was needed ?

537324 2007-04-01 00:42:00 ..and then comes the NZ army! With it's $100,000-a-shot shoulder mounted rockets. Can you imagine using these on a battlefield? I think it would go something like this ...

"Uhh ... .fire it at that right?"
"Yeah I think so, hold on I'll confirm, we can't have you spending $100,000 for no reason"
...
...
...
"Yeah shoot it at that"
"It's gone"
"Oh."

... and then there are the LAV's :groan:

Even today the Frogs think they won the Battle Of Waterloo.

Back in the good old days when it was fashionable to be patriotic, and when a fifth or more of the world was coloured pink in the atlas's;

a gunboat would have been sent to sort out the heathen.

But wait, I forget, there was a gunboat already there and they did nothing. Oh the shame of it :rolleyes: :thumbs:

And now we will have the grande charade.

For two pins I would send Metla over to sort them out.

537329 2007-04-01 06:13:00 Right, let's do that. All he would need to sort them out would be his sharp stick. Terry Porritt (14)
