537257 2007-03-31 08:01:00 My thoughts are with our Motorola in the cupboard, heart still beating, nowhere to go, fretting alone in the dark .

537258 2007-03-31 12:41:00 about time? I mean how many other "first-world" countries still have a analogue network??? Here we are always complaining how bad our bb is and we need new infrastructure but someone shuts down some old technology and its supposed to be bad?

Though I do feel for the phone:D

537259 2007-03-31 12:53:00 Well...there is the fact that analogue network had much better coverage.

So why shut it down?, Because it doesn't support all the whizz bang features that they want to charge extra for. Damn shame for those who just want a good reliable service for making phone calls.

Money matters.

537261 2007-03-31 23:40:00 mind you one good side effect of the dead 025..... some of the phones just happen to use the same battery as my digital, so a big thank you to a mate for the free batteries and phone accessories :) tweak'e (69)

537263 2007-04-01 01:00:00 Although getting excited can be a pleasurable experience, the above info does not engender much excitement in me!

So let in RIP.

537264 2007-04-01 03:57:00 Yeah I still have a 025 mobile :P

When I was told to upgrade they said I had to pay for a new phone. To me it seems they are not gearing towards getting a few extra customers.

Instead my $120 credit went into my landline account.

537265 2007-04-01 05:00:00 When I was told to upgrade they said I had to pay for a new phone .

They told my husband that too, he refused unless they gave him the phone for free . Eventually they did .
And the second one too, after they'd rung trying to get him to "upgrade" it .
